So, I'm still working on film. It's sluggish and expensive, but I love it. I can't wait to take a photography class at U-Develop considering the school bumped me out of Photo II. The public education system is probably not where I want to go for that kind of thing, anyway. It's just as well. Maybe with some encouragement I can get the old darkroom up and running again. The enlarger went with dad, so I'll have to gather everything back together again. There is satisfation in doing things yourself. Like staining shelves on my back porch and watching them dry. Like making pesto from scratch and assembling a thousand tea-sandwiches. Or sewing a halloween costume. Digital just doesn't give me chills when I see how good things come out. What a shame that I have no extra time.

:iconsweetcactus:
thank you so much for the devwatch! Your photography is absolutely breathtaking. I'm in awe of how you capture the raw colors and emotions within a picture setting. By any chance did you submit some of your pieces in the LO art show?

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
:iconcolliezonker:
No, nothing in the art show, but some of my things made it into Reflections. I'm pretty excited about that--and actually taking art classes next year so I can put things in the show.

when i finished the comment you left on my page, actual tears were left in my eyes. it is rare and unexpected to see real sincerity driving words of kindness. as unlikely as it sounds, i will attack my history book with something akin to relish tonight, and look forward to the test tomorrow. life looks brighter with people like you in the world. thank you.

Hey, I just wanted to say thank you for commenting on my work--I'm not really well known on DA. AND I think your Guiding Light photograph is beautiful.
